Substation Design Engineer

Substation work in Texas is at a record level across utilities, renewables, BESS and data centres. Churchill Hughes places substation engineers with the owners and EPCs doing that work.

What the role involves:

• Physical substation design: layouts, grounding, lightning protection, conduit and cable

• Equipment specification: transformers, breakers, switches

• Construction packages and support through energisation

What you'll bring:

• 4+ years of substation physical or electrical design

• AutoCAD or MicroStation; grounding tools such as CDEGS a plus

• PE or working towards it

• Texas based or ready to relocate
