Substitute Art Instructor

We are currently accepting applications to fill our Substitute Art Instructor position. We are looking for a certified art teacher with a minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience to cover classes when our main teachers are unavailable.

All supplies and a structured curriculum are provided.

Core classes are small and capped at 12 students per class.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Art Education (or BFA) and teaching certificate preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of in-classroom teaching experience
• Curriculum delivery experience
• Strong classroom management skills

Additional Requirements:

• Availability on short notice to cover emergency time off requests
• Willingness to help cover summer camps, special events, open houses, and birthday parties
• Live Scan and Mandated Reporter Training

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
