What You Will Do

• Guide & Support: Help students practice self-control, social skills, and coping strategies.
• Classroom Teamwork: Partner with licensed teachers, families, and staff to help every child succeed.
• Help with Learning: Work one-on-one or in small groups with basic reading, writing, and math.
• Positive Behavior: Follow student behavior plans, keep rooms safe, and give positive feedback.
• Track Progress: Keep simple records and data to show how students grow over time.
• Be Present: Bring regular, consistent attendance and a positive spirit every day.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Two years of college OR a Paraeducator Certificate (a degree in education or social services is a plus).
• Experience: Experience working with children who need extra social, emotional, or behavioral support.
• Skills: Clear communication, patience, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
• Safety: Must pass a background check (position handles confidential student records).
• Physical Needs: Ability to move, walk, stand, bend, and supervise active elementary kids.
