Bentley Community Schools is a thriving PreK-12 school district located in the City of Burton, Michigan. We serve approximately 715 students across three schools, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment for all.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Join our team at Bentley Community Schools and make a positive impact on the lives of our students! We are seeking drivers who are reliable, have a positive attitude and are committed to providing exceptional service for our students. We are willing to train qualified candidates.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Welcoming and inclusive to all students
• Safely transport students to and from school, extracurricular activities, and field trips
• Adhere to all traffic laws and school district policies
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues
• Maintain a safe and positive environment for all passengers
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
• Perform other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with “P” & “S” endorsements
• Clean driving record
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and afternoons

REPORTS TO: Transportation Director

WORKDAY/WEEK: Part-time

MINIMUM COGNITIVE AND PHYSICAL SKILLS

• Strong decision-making skills
• Ability to follow rules and regulations
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Good vision, hearing, and coordination (necessary for safe driving and student supervision)
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time (while driving)
