Duties

• Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure safety at all times
• Implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, social skills, and learning
• Communicate effectively with parents about their child's daily experiences and progress
• Follow established safety protocols including first aid and CPR when necessary to respond promptly to emergencies
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that supports learning and safety standards
• Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing inclusive care
• Document daily observations and report any concerns related to behavior or health issues in accordance with mandated reporting laws

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices
• Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR required; ongoing training encouraged
• Familiarity with special education needs and behavior management strategies
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members and parents
• Strong communication skills to foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff
• Mandated reporting laws knowledge to ensure compliance with legal responsibilities regarding child safety
