Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Substitute Custodial/Groundskeeper/Maintenance professional to join our team. Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners to ensure optimal floor care and sanitation.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and safety protocols.
• Conduct minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including painting, fixture adjustments, and basic carpentry or plumbing work when needed.
• Maintain grounds by performing landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, and debris removal to keep outdoor areas tidy.
• Assist with facilities maintenance activities including inspecting for safety hazards, reporting issues, and supporting emergency response efforts.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests from staff or visitors regarding cleanliness or facility concerns.

Requirements

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience with knowledge of commercial cleaning practices.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to chemical handling safety procedures.
• Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while practicing safe lifting techniques.
• Experience in groundskeeping or landscaping is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to safety protocol adherence and ability to follow detailed instructions for sanitation and maintenance procedures.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented attitude.
