Substitute Educational Assistant

Description

• Discusses assigned instructional materials with teacher to coordinate

instructional efforts.

• Assist students individually or in groups with lesson assignments to

present or reinforce learning concepts.

• Use encouragement and redirection to support learning in the school

environment.

• Assist in keeping order in the classroom.
• Supervise student to and from class, during lunch, recess and bus

loading.

• Assist with supervision during emergency situations.
• Devote attention to children needing discipline and special attention.
• Assist children with outdoor clothing.
• Constant supervision of the student(s) for safety in all areas of

learning.

• Carry out program and behavioral objectives in both the school and

public settings.

• Bathroom student(s) (clean body waste and fluids) and provide primary

personal and health care needs.

• Feed student(s) if necessary.
• Track student(s)’ progress to provide information to teachers for

instruction/re-instruction and assist with annotated record keeping.
