Substitute Grade School Math Teacher (Fixed-Term)

We are seeking a dedicated and competent Substitute Grade School Math Teacher to provide quality mathematics instruction and ensure continuity of learning during a temporary teaching engagement. The ideal candidate has strong content knowledge in Mathematics, employs effective teaching strategies, and creates a positive learning environment that supports student achievement and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Delivery & Instruction

• Deliver Mathematics lessons aligned with the prescribed curriculum and academic standards.
• Prepare and implement lesson plans, instructional materials, and learning activities that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Utilize appropriate teaching strategies and educational technologies to enhance learning outcomes.
• Foster student participation, collaboration, and mathematical reasoning in the classroom.

Classroom Management

• Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
• Implement classroom management practices that encourage student engagement and accountability.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students during instructional activities.

Assessment & Student Progress

• Administer quizzes, examinations, assignments, and other assessment tools.
• Monitor, evaluate, and document student performance and progress.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and, when necessary, communicate academic concerns to parents and school administrators.
• Apply differentiated instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs and abilities.

Collaboration & Communication

• Coordinate with fellow faculty members, academic coordinators, and school administrators to ensure instructional continuity.
• Participate in faculty meetings, academic planning sessions, and other school-related activities as required.
• Maintain professional communication with students, parents, and stakeholders regarding academic matters.

Professional Responsibilities

• Adhere to school policies, procedures, and academic guidelines.
• Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and commitment to student learning.
• Perform other teaching-related duties that may be assigned during the engagement period.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Secondary Education Major in Mathematics, or a related field.
• Valid Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) License for Professional Teachers (preferred).
• Teaching experience in Mathematics is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of mathematics concepts, instructional strategies, and student assessment practices.
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
• Passionate about teaching and committed to student success.
• Available for a fixed-term engagement from December 2026 until the end of the 1st Quarter of 2027.
• Must be willing to work in Mother Ignacia, Quezon City.
