SUBSTITUTE-PINEVIEW HEAD START CENTER

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Supervise and ensure the safety and well being of the children at all times, being alert for the needs and/or problems of the children as individuals and as a group.

• Implement the daily program according to the lesson plans furnished by the regular teaching team. Assist assigned teacher in any way possible.

• Assist in serving the meals and sitting with the children while they eat at the tables in family style.

• Keep classrooms, storage rooms, and bathrooms clean, neat and orderly.

• Be familiar with and follow all procedural policies.

• Report to Supervisor any special needs or problems of individual children.

• Report to Supervisor any cases of suspected child abuse or neglect.

• Handle discipline promptly and in accordance with stated policy on discipline.

• Must be cooperative and discuss center matters at the center.
