Are you tired of being just a number in a massive system? Many teachers feel they have to choose between the supportive culture of a small school and the competitive salary of a large suburban district. At Gold-Burg ISD , we are bridging that gap. Located just north of Bowie, TX in Montague County, our 1A district offers a unique professional environment where you can truly focus on teaching.

We Believe The Best Educators Are Well-rested, Supported, And Deeply Connected To Their Students. We've Designed Our District To Prove It

• The 4-Day Advantage: Say goodbye to the Sunday night blues. With Mondays off, you have a permanent three-day weekend every single week for family, travel, or true relaxation.
• True Small-Group Instruction: Forget 30-student rosters. Our average class size is just 12 students, allowing for the kind of one-on-one mentorship and student connection that 1A schools do best.
• The TIA Advantage: Because our classes are small, you have the time and resources to ensure every student meets their growth goals. We are currently in our TIA Baseline Year, and our goal is to help our teachers earn Distinguished and Master designations—putting your total compensation on par with larger suburban districts.
• A Tight-Knit 1A Community: Join a district where you aren't just a face in a hallway—you're a vital part of a supportive, rural school family that values every educator.

Stop choosing between your lifestyle and your paycheck. Join the Gold-Burg family and get the best of both.
