Duties

• Implement lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher, ensuring smooth instructional flow
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment
• Engage students with age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, numeracy, creativity, and social-emotional development
• Adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs, including those with disabilities or developmental challenges
• Organize classroom activities that foster participation, collaboration, and critical thinking
• Support early childhood education principles and incorporate Montessori or other specialized curricula when applicable
• Communicate regularly with school staff regarding student progress, behavioral issues, or instructional needs

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in educational settings or childcare environments
• Knowledge of curriculum development and implementation across various subjects such as math, literacy, and creative writing
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder and developmental disabilities
• Strong classroom management skills coupled with behavior management techniques
• Familiarity with early childhood education frameworks like Montessori or preschool curricula
• Proven ability to adapt instruction for diverse learners through instructional adaptability and lesson planning expertise
• Excellent communication skills for mentoring students and collaborating with school staff
