Substitute Teacher

Little Tot Day Care is looking for a dependable, caring, and flexible Substitute Teacher to join our team!

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and can provide classroom coverage when regular staff members are absent or on vacation.

Position Responsibilities

As a Substitute Teacher, you will:

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for children.
• Assist with the supervision and care of infants, toddlers, and/or preschool-aged children.
• Follow classroom schedules, routines, and lesson plans.
• Assist with meals, snacks, diapering, toileting, rest time, and other daily routines as needed.
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities and play.
• Maintain proper supervision and child-to-staff ratios at all times.
• Help maintain clean, organized, and safe classrooms.
• Follow all Little Tot Day Care policies and procedures.
• Follow Massachusetts EEC regulations and health and safety requirements.
• Communicate professionally with children, families, and staff.
• Be flexible and willing to assist where needed throughout the program.

Qualifications

• Must meet Massachusetts EEC requirements applicable to the substitute position.
• Experience working with young children is preferred.
• Must be dependable and able to work as part of a team.
• Must demonstrate patience, professionalism, and good judgment.
• Must successfully complete all required background record checks.
• Must complete required health, safety, and program trainings.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• must complete EEC 2.0 Essentials Training

Substitute / On-Call

Hours will vary depending on staffing needs. Candidates with flexible availability are encouraged to apply.

Little Tot Day Care is open Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM–5:15 PM.
