Substitute Teachers K-8 Awaken Christian Academy is looking for Substitute Teachers to join our team! Awaken Christian Academy is looking for Substitute Teachers for the Fall 2026 School year. We are looking for a person who can work in a fast-paced environment with creativity and attention to detail.

This is an on-call, as-needed position, substituting in the absence of a regular Awaken Christian Academy Teacher. The Substitute Teacher is an important resource as an instructor and caregiver to the students during the day. The Substitute Teacher would establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures while maintaining order among the students for whom they are responsible.

The Substitute Teacher is committed to Jesus Christ with strong integrity, dedication, and passion. Must have a heart for the mission and a drive of Awaken Christian Academy and Awaken Las Vegas.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans that have been developed by the Teacher.
• Utilize prepared materials for class activities.
• Submit attendance and any behavior reports as needed.
• Enforce rules for behavior and procedures.
• Maintain order in the classroom.
• Communicate any questions or concerns to the school principal or administration.
• Enforce administration policies and rules governing students.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Experience JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Teaching experience is preferred but not required. Minimum experience working with children in a structured setting is expected.
