Summer Camp Instructor

Summer at Emersonis looking for reliable, personable, and engaging instructors to teach camps with us this year! If you are passionate about impacting the lives of young children, this position is the perfect fit for you.

Our camps are meant to teach kids the fundamentals of a specific theme, topic, or hobby while also focusing on character development. We want to give our campers the opportunity to explore new interests while also learning how to be a good human being in the process. Instructors will have the freedom to design their own weekly lesson plans regarding how they wish to structure their camps. Summer camps we have offered in the past cover a wide range of areas, including STEM, art, theater, sports, board games, writing, ecology, cooking and baking, and much more!

Summer at Emerson is a six week long summer camp program that offers full-day and half-day camps from June 14th until July 30th (excluding the week of July 5th-9th). Half-day camps take place during the morning portion of the camp day (9:00 AM to 12:00 PM) or during the afternoon portion (1:00 PM-4:00 PM). Instructors must be available to teach for at least two full weeks during this six week duration. We are happy to have you teach for as many weeks as you would like and are available for. Instructor pay is $550 per week per half-day camp (3 hours/day Monday-Friday).

Each camp contains no more than 12-16 campers and will take place at Emerson School which is located at 5425 Scio Church Rd Ann Arbor, MI 48103. Each camp is allotted a budget for supplies which can be purchased and reimbursed for.
