About Us Aluna Partners is a London-based firm providing integrated advisory, capital, and investment management solutions designed to support businesses at every stage of growth. The firm specializes in credit solutions, delivering flexible and scalable financing through Asset-Backed Finance and Trade Finance. Since inception, Aluna originated over US $150M in Asset-Backed Facilities. Aluna works closely with originators, SMEs, and lenders to structure securitized products, working capital facilities, and supply chain finance solutions that are tailored to operational requirements and aligned with long-term strategic objectives.
Through its investment management services, Aluna applies a disciplined, research-led approach built around a three-dimensional credit strategy: Preserve, Perform, Protect, aimed at generating resilient, all-weather returns. The firm focuses on private credit, constructing portfolios concentrated in asset-backed finance, and trade receivables. By partnering with trusted originators and institutional counterparties, Aluna emphasizes clarity, consistency, and long-term alignment, with a blend of performance-driven execution and responsible risk management.

About The Role A structured, rotational training placement offering supervised exposure to structured finance and securitisation, including asset-backed finance, trade receivables finance, portfolio management and origination. This is a supernumerary role: the intern supplements the team's learning environment rather than filling a vacancy or operational need, with core responsibilities remaining with existing staff throughout.
Programme structure Phase 1: Foundation A structured introduction to the firm, its working practices and the fundamentals of structured finance. The intern builds confidence through supervised observation, shadowing the credit and origination teams to develop an initial understanding of the deal lifecycle.
Phase 2: Rotational learning Guided rotational work across key business areas, applying earlier learning to broader analytical and coordination-based activities. Focus areas include research support, document preparation and exposure to client and credit processes.
Phase 3: Applied practice Greater ownership of clearly defined, supervised work, drawing together earlier learning to contribute to transaction-related analysis and written outputs, including summaries and supporting committee materials.
What You'll Gain Practical understanding of the full transaction lifecycle, stronger analytical, research, documentation and stakeholder coordination skills, and professional confidence built through staged learning, regular feedback and progressively broader project work.
Supervision The intern is supervised at all times by two designated supervisors, a partner and the relevant analyst, based in a single shared office with immediate in-person access throughout the day.
What We’re Looking For
- Students in their final year of study (undergraduate or master’s)
- Strong academic performance, ideally in finance, economics, business, or a quantitative discipline
- Demonstrated interest in structured finance, capital markets, or securitisation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proactive and collaborative mindset
- Team player
Why Apply
- Gain real transaction experience across multiple business areas in busy central London office
- Direct mentorship with founding partners in close-knit and supportive team environment
- Develop practical skills in modelling, analysis, and deal execution
- Build a strong professional network within the industry
- At the end of the programme, one top-performing intern may receive an offer to join us in London for a 12-month off-cycle internship (date TBD based on business needs)
