POSITION TYPE: Temporary, 2-Month contract (June/July)

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $11.00/hour plus room and board during programs (housing not provided during the week of July 4). FLSA Non-Exempt

Description of Duties:

The Summer Program Instructional Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the daily classroom needs of the Summer Accelerator Program as well as assisting with the safety and supervision of the students enrolled in NCSSM Early Accelerator program. Must be able to work independently while communicating the needs of the program. Depending on the week, you may be assigned to a specific instructor or assigned to assist in the summer programs office with various tasks.

This position will have the option to live on campus or commute.

Responsibilities include:

• Safety and supervision of students
• Checking Early Accelerator students in/out each day while knowing headcount at all times
• Assist with instructor classroom set up on check-in Sundays as needed
• Attend staff training prior to the start of the program
• Greet parents each day and answer questions/concerns
• Assist instructors with day to day tasks as needed
• Communicate with parents as needed
• Enforce NCSSM and Summer Programs policies

Job Requirements:

• Complete staff training prior to the start of programs.
• Must be able to work variable schedules including days and nights.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• High school diploma and 18 years of age.
• Must be available to work 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Friday. Occasional Sunday work may be required.
