Summer Team Members!

A bit about the role…

We are looking for 9x part-time team members on a fixed-term basis to join our team through the Summer Period, with roles commencing as soon as possible!

We have positions available across various departments throughout the store.

Being a Team Member at Mitre 10 MEGA Porirua is all about being customer obsessed. Your focus will be on delivering epic customer service to every customer, every time. When you’re not busy with customers, you’ll be learning about the products in your department, and working with stock to make sure the shelves are full and looking good.

All available positions include at least one weekend day, and are part-time 15-30 hours per week. Hours will vary to cover our operating hours (7.00am - 6.00pm Monday to Friday, and 8.00am - 6.00pm on weekends and public holidays).

A bit about you…

Ideally the successful candidates will have a passion for customer service, excellent communication skills, and have an enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude!

• Great work ethic, a can do attitude, and a team player
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Confidence using a computer and the ability to learn new systems quickly
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to adapt and be flexible
• The physical capabilities to manage the manual handling aspects of this role (manual handling, prolonged standing, ladder use)
• A good awareness of Health & Safety
• Must be available throughout December 2026 and January 2027

You’ll also need to be physically fit and able for these positions as you will spend a lot of time on your feet, up and down ladders, and heavy lifting with the team.

A Forklift license for certain roles would be preferred but not essential!

Should you be shortlisted you must be available to participate in a group interviews. You will be taken through a short interview and be given some simple tasks to complete in a group situation.
