About the Role

Our client, a leading general contractor supporting mission-critical data center projects, is seeking an experienced Superintendent for a role based in Houston, Texas or Shreveport, Louisiana. The Superintendent will oversee daily construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is responsible for supervising site operations, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, enforcing safety protocols, and proactively resolving site-related challenges to maintain efficiency and productivity across all assigned work fronts.

• Base salary up to $180,000, commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to required quality standards across all active work fronts
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers across all scopes, holding trade partners accountable to schedule, quality, and safety expectations
• Enforce site safety protocols across all personnel, including leading toolbox talks, conducting safety inspections, and maintaining full OSHA compliance
• Monitor and manage quality control across all construction activities, identifying deficiencies early and driving corrective action
• Proactively identify and resolve site-related challenges before they impact schedule, budget, or quality
• Maintain accurate and complete daily documentation, including site reports, safety logs, and progress records
• Coordinate with the project management team, engineers, and design teams on site-related matters, RFIs, and scope clarifications

Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of field leadership experience in commercial or mission-critical construction; data center experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency in site supervision, problem-solving, team coordination, quality control, and safety protocol enforcement
• Experience managing risk on complex, fast-paced construction sites
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse site teams
• Experience with construction management technologies and software; Procore or equivalent preferred
• OSHA certification required; additional relevant certifications a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent field experience considered
