Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Superintendent to lead and oversee the maintenance and operational activities of our facilities. This pivotal role involves managing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards. As a Superintendent, you will coordinate maintenance teams, implement project management strategies, and uphold safety regulations to maintain a safe, efficient, and reliable environment. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives, foster teamwork, and ensure the seamless operation of all facility systems.

Duties

• Lead and supervise facilities maintenance teams to perform routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Manage facilities maintenance programs using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to schedule work orders, track asset history, and optimize resources.
• Oversee the repair and troubleshooting of complex mechanical systems including HVAC units, electrical systems (high voltage and low voltage), plumbing systems, and industrial machinery.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA safety regulations and industry best practices; conduct safety audits and enforce safety protocols.
• Develop and manage project timelines for large-scale repairs or upgrades; coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to meet project goals efficiently.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, electrical diagrams, and engineering troubleshooting guides to diagnose issues accurately.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance procedures, safety inspections, incident reports, and equipment history for compliance and continuous improvement purposes.

Skills

• Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance or industrial maintenance teams in manufacturing or similar environments.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in HVAC system repair, electrical systems (including high voltage), plumbing maintenance & repair, and industrial machinery troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in using CMMS software for work order management; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation.
• Knowledge of safety regulations such as OSHA standards; ability to implement safety procedures effectively across teams.
• Skilled in reading schematics, electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings, and troubleshooting engineering issues using tools like voltmeters and ohmmeters.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective team management capabilities with leadership qualities that motivate staff toward high performance; experience managing facilities maintenance teams in fast-paced environments.
• Strong communication skills in English; capable of providing clear instructions and technical guidance to team members.
