Superintendent

Our Superintendents are the driving force behind successful project execution. They maintain a full-time presence on the jobsite, lead field operations, champion our safety culture, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations and site management activities.
• Promote and enforce Butler-Cohen's safety culture and jobsite safety requirements.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
• Monitor project schedules, productivity, quality, and costs.
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Maintain accurate project records and support effective project communication.
• Supervise field personnel and drive project completion from start to finish.

Qualifications

• 6-10+ years of commercial construction management experience, or a related degree with equivalent field experience.
• Experience leading projects valued at $10M-$20M+ ($20M-$50M preferred).
• Ground-up construction and/or major renovation experience preferred.
• Experience with QA/QC processes, inspections, and quality enforcement.
• Strong knowledge of construction operations, scheduling, and project documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Procore experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards and jobsite safety requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel and/or temporarily relocate based on project needs.

Physical & Working Conditions

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to navigate active construction sites, including stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and uneven terrain.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain active throughout the workday.
• Comfortable working flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends as project demands require.
