About the Role

Halo Fire is seeking an experienced Field Superintendent to lead fire sprinkler installation operations across assigned construction projects in the Salt Lake City area. This hands-on field leadership role is responsible for coordinating foremen, crews, project managers, general contractors, suppliers, and inspectors to deliver safe, high-quality work on schedule.

The Field Superintendent is a key for field installation questions and will drive manpower planning, productivity, material readiness, installation quality, jobsite safety, and technical problem-solving. We are hiring for two openings.

What You’ll Do

Oversee fire sprinkler installation activities across assigned new-construction projects.

Lead, coach, support, and develop field foremen and installation crews.

Plan manpower, crew assignments, equipment, material readiness, and installation sequencing.

Review blueprints and project plans to identify field requirements and resolve installation challenges.

Coordinate closely with project managers, general contractors, suppliers, municipal inspectors, and other project stakeholders.

Conduct regular jobsite inspections, quality reviews, and safety checks.

Track labor hours, field productivity, production rates, budget variances, and jobsite performance.

Maintain daily communication with foremen, including review of field reporting, punctuality, and production progress.

Participate in 30-day project lookaheads, scheduling meetings, and weekly coordination with general contractor superintendents.

Complete at least one physical site audit per active project each week and verify installation and material readiness in advance of scheduled work.

Support change orders, as-built documentation, testing, inspections, system shutdowns, drain-downs, hydro tests, recharge activities, and project closeout.

Resolve field issues promptly and communicate risks, progress, and resource needs to project leadership.

Required Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience as a fire sprinkler foreman in new construction.

Significant hands-on fire sprinkler installation experience and proven field leadership capability.

Experience supervising and developing multiple foremen and installation crews.

Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, sequence work, and plan manpower.

Experience coordinating with project managers, general contractors, and inspectors.

Ability to monitor production, labor hours, safety, quality, and jobsite performance.

NICET certification or equivalent fire sprinkler experience/coursework.

Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.

Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

High school diploma or GED.

Ability to travel between Utah jobsites as needed.

Schedule & Work Environment

This is an onsite field position supporting construction projects in the Salt Lake City area. Typical workdays are 8–10 hours, and occasional weekend work may be required based on project needs.

Compensation & Benefits

Halo Fire offers a competitive annual salary of $93,000–$124,000, based on experience and qualifications. A company truck is provided for the role.
