What to Expect

As a Superintendent on the Research Fabrication Chip Project at Giga Texas, you will help lead a complex, large-scale construction project. You will own a defined area or major package in the field. You run the daily plan, hold contractors to the Tesla standard, protect safety and cleanliness, and drive work from installation through turnover. You are the person who makes the drawing buildable, the sequence real, and the date hold. We are hiring people who have already run technically heavy work: semiconductor or similar high-purity manufacturing, mission-critical facilities, or industrial projects where MEP, process systems, and construction quality determine whether the factory can start up.

What You'll Do

• Own day-to-day construction for your assigned area or package: plan, crew loading, workforce, logistics, and constraints
• Run the daily and weekly look-ahead. Make the three-week plan real. Protect the critical path and call out float burn early
• Direct multiple contractors and trades in a congested, multi-front environment. Resolve stack-up, access, and trade-on-trade conflicts in the field the same day they appear
• Be the Tesla voice on the deck. Contractors work to your plan and Tesla specs — not to their own default means and methods when those conflict with the design or the factory
• Coordinate with Factory, Facilities, EHS, Security, and adjacent construction areas on outages, crane picks, road closures, and live-system tie-ins

What You'll Bring

• 8+ years of construction field leadership on industrial, manufacturing, mission-critical, or semiconductor projects, including 4+ years as a superintendent (or equivalent: general foreman / area superintendent owning multi-trade work)
• Proven ownership of MEP-dense or technically complex packages — not just CSA shell work. You have run congested mechanical, electrical, process, or clean environments where sequence and quality actually matter
• Experience managing installation, quality, commissioning of several plumbing and process scopes – mechanical equipment installation, general exhaust air duct, acid/ammonia exhaust duct, VOC duct
• Experience on at least one of: semiconductor fab / ATMP; pharmaceutical / high-purity manufacturing; data center or other mission-critical MEP; heavy industrial process (chemical, battery, refinery, similar)
• Ability to read construction documents at a superintendent level: architectural / structural, MEP, P&IDs, single-lines, specs, and coordination models. You catch clashes and missing details before they are installed
• Demonstrated record of running contractors to a schedule without sacrificing safety or install quality. You have recovered a slipping area and can explain how
• Comfort in a live industrial environment: LOTO, permits, outages, and working adjacent to operating systems and other trades
