Superintendent - National Builder/Developer - Charleston SC

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead the field execution of a 200+ unit, ground-up mixed-use development in Charleston. This is an opportunity for a driven multifamily construction professional to take ownership of a major project while working with an established, well-capitalised organisation.

Description

• Lead day-to-day field operations for a 3-5 storey, 200+ unit mixed-use development in Charleston.
• Manage the project from ground-up construction through completion and turnover.
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades and site activities to maintain the construction schedule.
• Drive quality, safety and productivity standards across the jobsite.
• Identify field challenges early and take ownership of developing practical solutions.
• Partner closely with project management, ownership and internal construction teams.
• Communicate project progress, challenges and priorities clearly to key stakeholders.
• Build productive relationships with subcontractors and project partners.
• Maintain a professional, organised and results-driven jobsite environment.
• Report directly to the Director of Construction.

Profile

A successful Superintendent should have:

• Proven ground-up multifamily construction experience.
• Experience supervising large-scale wood-frame multifamily projects preferred.
• Ability to independently drive schedules and get projects across the finish line.
• Resourceful problem solver who takes ownership and acts with urgency.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and hold teams accountable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional and polished when working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced construction environment with significant responsibility.
