Job summary

The incumbent will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of pharmacy operations to ensure the safe dispensing of medicines, compliance with regulatory requirements, and delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the pharmacy.
• Ensure the pharmacy operates in compliance with all relevant pharmacy laws, regulations, and professional standards.
• Maintain all licenses, permits, and regulatory registrations for the premises.
• Implement and regularly review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure compliance with controlled medicines regulations and record-keeping requirements.
• Supervise the safe and accurate dispensing of prescription medicines.
• Provide professional pharmaceutical advice to patients and healthcare professionals.
• Oversee medicine procurement and supplier relationships.
• Monitor inventory levels and minimize stock shortages and wastage.
• Ensure proper storage conditions for medicines and vaccines.
• Manage controlled drug inventories and conduct regular audits.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a BSC
• 4 years of previous experience in a similar role
