Commercial Ground-Up Superintendent

Scott Humphrey has partnered with a top-tier commercial general contractor experiencing significant growth across the DFW market to identify an experienced Commercial Ground-Up Superintendent . This is an excellent opportunity to lead high-profile projects from sitework through turnover while joining a company known for its strong culture, robust project pipeline, and commitment to promoting from within.

Tilt-Wall experience is highly preferred , as many of the upcoming projects involve tilt-wall construction from foundation and panel erection through final completion. Candidates with a proven track record managing large-scale tilt-wall and ground-up commercial projects will be strongly considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations on ground-up commercial construction projects from site development through project completion.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to maintain production goals and project milestones.
• Drive project schedules, sequencing, and look-ahead planning to ensure critical deadlines are achieved.
• Enforce safety standards and maintain a culture focused on zero incidents.
• Conduct daily site walks, safety meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, and OAC meetings.
• Maintain high-quality workmanship and oversee all inspections and punch-list activities.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Trade Partners throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and resolve field issues proactively to minimize schedule impacts and cost overruns.
• Oversee site logistics, manpower planning, material deliveries, and quality control processes.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, daily reports, RFIs, inspections, and field communications.
• Champion a professional, accountable, and team-oriented jobsite culture.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent with a Commercial General Contractor.
• Proven experience leading ground-up commercial construction projects valued at $10M+ .
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction means and methods, scheduling, safety, and quality control.
• Experience in Tilt-Wall
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain aggressive project schedules.
• Experience with sitework, foundations, structural systems, building envelope, and interior finishes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field is preferred.
