This is a unique opportunity for a technical leader who is equally passionate about mentoring engineers, building client relationships, and delivering exceptional project outcomes.

Since our founding, ARC has built its reputation on technical excellence, outstanding client service, strong communication, teamwork, and an ego-free collaborative culture. We are seeking a leader who shares those values and can help expand our impact across the diverse markets we serve.

Position Overview

The Supervising Electrical Engineer will serve as the firm's senior electrical engineering leader, overseeing technical quality, project delivery, staff development, and strategic growth initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being both a hands-on engineer & mentor to the next generation of talent. The successful candidate will help shape the future direction of our electrical engineering practice while maintaining the high standards that have defined ARC for two decades.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for electrical engineering design and project delivery.
  • Lead design efforts for power distribution, lighting, low-voltage systems, and sustainable building solutions.
  • Perform quality control reviews and establish technical standards across the firm.
  • Manage and mentor electrical engineers, designers, and project teams.
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, plumbing, and technology disciplines to deliver coordinated designs.
  • Support client development, proposal preparation, and project interviews.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, owners, contractors, and industry partners.
  • Guide project teams through all phases of design, permitting, bidding, and construction administration.
  • Help identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and expansion within the firm's electrical practice.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • California Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 15+ years of consulting engineering experience in building systems design.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex commercial, corporate, institutional, entertainment, or mixed-use projects.
  • Strong knowledge of California codes, energy regulations, and industry standards.
  • Proven leadership, mentoring, and project management capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • LEED Accredited Professional or experience with sustainable design practices.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Existing relationships within the Southern California AEC community.
  • Interest in helping shape firm strategy and long-term growth.
