An opportunity has presented itself for an Operations Supervisor to join our team in Clyde .

What You’ll Do As an Operations Supervisor, you will provide frontline leadership and guidance to train crew while coordinating the safe and efficient day-to-day operation.

You Will

• Inspire, lead and support a team of safety-focused operational employees
• Coordinate and manage operational resources to support safe, efficient and reliable operations
• Ensure compliance with relevant network access requirements, policies and operational standards
• Coach and mentor team members to build capability, performance and a strong safety culture
• Coordinate the implementation and communication of organisational, divisional and local safety requirements
• Undertake driver performance and safety observations
• Work closely with Integrated Planning Services and Network Control to support the safe and efficient running of trains
• Build strong relationships with internal and external customers and identify opportunities to improve operational and customer outcomes

What You’ll Bring We’re looking for an experienced people leader with a strong safety focus and the ability to lead and motivate a team in a busy operational environment.

You Will Bring

• Experience leading, coaching and motivating teams in a busy operational environment
• A strong safety background with demonstrated ability to build and maintain a positive safety culture
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels
• Experience building and developing multi-faceted teams
• A collaborative leadership style and ability to support teams through change and continuous improvement
• Experience in rail, transport or logistics will be advantageous
• Qualifications in Transport, Logistics or Business Management will also be advantageous
• Flexibility to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and nights
