Supervisor Job Description

Position Title: Supervisor
Reports To: Program Director, Executive Director

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support residential staff in their roles, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Implement and enforce program policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of all residents and staff.
• Conduct regular rounds and inspections of the facility to monitor cleanliness, maintenance, and adherence to regulations.
• Coordinate and participate in the intake and discharge process for residents, including assessments, goal setting, and transition planning.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, community partners, and other stakeholders.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed, following established protocols and procedures.
• Collaborate with case managers, therapists, and other service providers to coordinate services and support for residents.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including incident reports, progress notes, and documentation of services provided.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and committees as required by agency policies and regulations.
• Stay informed about best practices, trends, and developments in the field of youth residential care.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field preferred with one year of experience working with children.
• Associates degree or 60 credit hours from and three years working with children required.
• Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based practices in youth services.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and empower staff.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• PA Criminal, Child Abuse and FBI clearances
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
