Supervisor

We are seeking an energetic and hands-on Store Supervisor to support and inspire our team at TEASE in Bicester Village.

In this important role, you will support the Store Manager with daily store operations, lead the team during assigned shifts and ensure every customer receives exceptional service. You will help maintain our high standards across product quality, store presentation, cleanliness, food safety and team performance.

As Bicester Village is one of the UK’s leading luxury shopping destinations, the successful candidate must be polished, professional and confident delivering a premium experience to a diverse and international customer base. You will also represent TEASE professionally when interacting with the Bicester Village team and neighbouring businesses.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator and natural leader who remains calm under pressure and enjoys working alongside the team in a busy, fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Lead daily shifts and ensure the store operates smoothly and in line with TEASE standards
• Support, motivate and guide team members to deliver exceptional customer service
• Lead by example by working alongside the team and remaining actively involved on the shop floor
• Ensure all drinks and food are prepared according to TEASE recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards
• Maintain a premium customer experience appropriate for Bicester Village
• Represent TEASE professionally when interacting with customers and the Bicester Village team
• Support opening and closing procedures and ensure all daily checklists are completed accurately
• Allocate tasks and ensure the team understands the priorities and targets for each shift
• Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, organisation and store presentation
• Monitor stock levels, receive deliveries and report shortages to the Store Manager
• Ensure correct stock rotation and FIFO procedures are followed
• Help control waste, staff food, stock losses and unnecessary costs
• Ensure the team follows all food-safety, hygiene, health and safety and COSHH procedures
• Complete temperature checks and other required operational records accurately
• Handle customer feedback and straightforward complaints professionally, escalating serious matters to the Store Manager
• Support the training and development of new and existing team members
• Monitor product quality, portion control and speed of service
• Support the team in achieving daily sales targets through genuine customer recommendations and upselling
• Take responsibility for the store when the Store Manager is not present
• Help prepare the store for Bicester Village events, seasonal campaigns and busy trading periods

Skills

• Previous experience as a Supervisor, Shift Leader or senior team member within hospitality, cafés, food and beverage or retail
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills
• A professional and polished approach appropriate for Bicester Village
• Confidence leading a shift and taking responsibility when the Store Manager is not present
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Excellent attention to detail across product quality, cleanliness and store presentation
• The ability to remain calm, professional and solutions-focused under pressure
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of sales, stock control and waste management
• A hands-on approach and willingness to support the team wherever needed
• Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and peak trading periods
• Experience working within Bicester Village, luxury retail or premium hospitality would be highly desirable
• Barista or speciality coffee experience would be an advantage
• Food Safety Level 2 or above would be desirable
