Rate of Pay: $62,867 to $84,442

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week with some after-hours responsibility

Position Summary

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Supervisor to lead a team of employees across multiple sites in Sioux Lookout. This is a great opportunity for someone with supervisory experience in hospitality, food services, cleaning, laundry, security, or administration who is looking to grow into a leadership role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Persons of First Nations ancestry will be given preference (OHRC, Part II, Special Employment)
• Ability to communicate in one of the First Nations dialects in the Sioux Lookout Zone is an asset
• High school diploma completion or education/experience deemed acceptable to SLFNHA
• Experience in one or more of the following areas is an asset: hospitality, food services, cleaning, laundry, security, or administration, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Minimum of 1 year of experience supervising and scheduling teams
• Experience/ability with employee relations and disciplinary meetings
• Ability to handle and resolve conflicts or issues that may arise within the team or with clients
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety guidelines and standards
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to effectively coordinate operations and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in basic computer applications for record-keeping and documentation purposes
• A valid full driving license issued within Ontario would be considered an asset
• Must be certified with Basic First Aid/CPR/AED, or able to obtain
• The ability to perform the requirements of the position on a regular basis

Working Conditions

• Shifts include 6:00 am – 2:00 pm, 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm, and 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, on a rotating basis
• On-call responsibility is required
• Will involve exposure to heat, cold, and various equipment depending on site and responsibilities
• Will require working evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Considerable standing, lifting, pulling, pushing, and bending
