Coffeeism is looking for a Supervisor Barista to grow with our company.

This is not a traditional coffee shop environment. Coffeeism focuses on crafted espresso beverages inspired by cocktail-style execution, specialty ingredients, hospitality, and strong operational standards. We are looking for a leader who can confidently run shifts, maintain quality, coach staff, and uphold standards in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year Lead Barista or Supervisor experience required
• Minimum 2 years experience in a specialty coffee bar, craft café, or traditional bar environment required
• Experience working with manual espresso machines and hands-on beverage execution required
• Strong understanding of espresso extraction, milk texturing, workflow, drink pacing, and guest hospitality
• Great storyteller of the Coffeeism brand, menu, and guest experience
• Highly motivated, hospitality-driven, and confident interacting with guests
• Experience onboarding, training, coaching, and holding staff accountable
• Familiarity with scheduling, shift delegation, documentation, administrative tasks, and HR compliance standards
• Experience mentoring, coaching, counseling, and directly managing staff performance
• Comfortable holding employees accountable to job descriptions, operational standards, and workplace expectations
• Ability to lead with confidence, composure, and authority during high-pressure shifts
• Experience addressing performance issues directly, professionally, and in real time
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to guide a team firmly, respectfully, and without passive communication styles
• Ability to reinforce policies, procedures, cleanliness standards, and service expectations consistently across all shifts
• Reliable, detail-oriented, operationally minded, and self-sufficient

Responsibilities:

• Lead daily shift operations and maintain workflow during high-volume service
• Maintain beverage quality, consistency, and ticket pacing
• Coach and support baristas and cashiers throughout service
• Assist with opening and closing operational procedures
• Uphold cleanliness, organization, prep standards, and overall café presentation
• Reinforce Coffeeism operational standards, policies, and procedural updates
• Support management with team accountability and operational consistency

This is not an automated push-button coffee environment. Coffeeism focuses on old-school coffee finesse, crafted beverage execution, hospitality, and operational discipline.

Coffeeism blends Scandinavian-inspired minimalism with Palm Springs energy while serving creative espresso drinks, matcha, chai, and seasonal specialties.

We are currently in preliminary screenings and prioritizing applicants who are confident in craft coffee execution, understand café operations at a leadership level, and can step into a fast-paced environment with strong decision-making, accountability, and real hands-on experience.
