Poms is looking for a hard working hands-on individual to join the team in our busy Ashbourne site! At Poms we pride ourselves on the high quality, locally sourced ingredients we use. This paired with high standards of service is at the heart of all that we do. Poms is an independently owned business, currently made up of four restaurants, with plans to continue to slowly expand over the coming years.

We are seeking a supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced, high- volume restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will assist the General Manager and Deputy General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth. You will support in all aspects of running the business.

Responsibilities:

· Oversee all aspects of the food and beverage operations, including restaurant area and bar

• Ensuring that the Poms standard of experience is delivered to each and every guest

· Involvement in hiring, training, and supervising staff members, including bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff

· Create daily shift plans and assign duties to ensure efficient operations

· Leading shifts in the absence of the General and Deputy General Manager

· Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed

· Maintain legal compliance in areas including food safety and health and safety

· Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues promptly

Skills:

· Hospitality background with experience in hospitality management

· Proven ability to lead and motivate a team

· Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation and production

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

· Proficient in computer systems for inventory management and point of sale

· Ensuring legal compliance throughout the business.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is currently (or has been) in a supervisory/assistant manager role within a similar restaurant environment for a minimum of 2 years.
• Is passionate about people- cares about both our guests and the team, maintaining the positive environment we are proud to offer.
• Shows passion for our growing brand, this passion shows when leading and training the team.

PLEASE NOTE:

We are looking for someone with flexible availability, must be able to work weekends. Must also be available to work Bank Holidays, and other key dates throughout the year. (We are closed on Christmas Day!) We do not open on evenings, so no late nights. In addition to your pay, you will also receive a share of the service charge received each month. You may, from time to time, be asked to help at our other restaurant locations.

This is a permanent position. Exact working hours to be discussed at interview stage. Agreed rate of pay will be dependent on level of experience.
