SUPERVISOR

About the Role:

The Supervisor in the manufacturing industry plays a critical role in overseeing daily production operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are consistently met. This position involves managing a team of production workers, coordinating workflow, and addressing any operational issues that arise to maintain smooth manufacturing processes. The Supervisor is responsible for implementing company policies, monitoring performance metrics, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity. Additionally, this role requires close collaboration with other departments such as quality control, maintenance, and logistics to align production goals with overall business objectives. Ultimately, the Supervisor ensures that manufacturing targets are achieved while fostering a positive and compliant work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and safety standards.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with production tracking software or systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree or higher in manufacturing, engineering, or related field.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in advanced production management software and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, motivate, and manage production team members to meet daily and weekly manufacturing targets.
• Monitor production processes and adjust schedules or resources as needed to maintain efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching or training to enhance team capabilities.
• Collaborate with quality control to address product defects and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate production records and prepare reports for senior management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in continuous improvement projects.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime and ensure operational reliability.
