Restaurant Supervisor – Henrica’s Restaurant

Job Summary

Henrica’s Restaurant—where bold Jamaican spice meets authentic Chinese flavor—is seeking a driven and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to lead daily operations and support our growing team.

This role is critical to maintaining our signature fusion dining experience. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can manage both front-of-house and back-of-house flow, uphold high service standards, and create a welcoming environment that reflects our culture, quality, and family values.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Shift Oversight

• Supervise staff during shifts to ensure smooth, efficient, and high-quality service
• Lead by example with professionalism, energy, and accountability
• Train, coach, and motivate team members on service standards and performance

Operations Management

• Oversee daily restaurant operations, including dining room flow and kitchen coordination
• Ensure timely service and proper communication between front and back of house
• Assist with opening and closing procedures

Customer Experience

• Deliver exceptional guest service and maintain a positive dining atmosphere
• Address customer concerns quickly and professionally
• Ensure every guest leaves satisfied and eager to return

Inventory & Cost Control

• Assist with inventory tracking, ordering, and supply management
• Monitor food quality, portion control, and waste reduction
• Support cost-control efforts to maintain profitability

Food Quality & Standards

• Ensure all dishes meet Henrica’s standards for taste, presentation, and consistency
• Maintain authenticity across Jamaican and Chinese menu offerings

Scheduling & Administration

• Support staff scheduling, attendance tracking, and shift coverage
• Assist with cash handling, POS systems, and daily reconciliation

Compliance & Cleanliness

• Enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment

Business Growth Support

• Assist with promotions, catering coordination, and special events
• Contribute ideas to improve operations and strengthen brand presence

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant supervisory or leadership role
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and staff coordination
• Strong understanding of customer service and team management
• Knowledge of Caribbean and/or Chinese cuisine is a plus
• ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred
