Supervisor / Driver

We are currently seeking a Supervisor / Driver to join our Hawke's Bay Transport Team. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines transport operations supervision with driving responsibilities, ensuring the safe, efficient, and professional delivery of services to our customers. You'll lead by example, supporting daily operations while helping to drive performance, service excellence, and team engagement.

As a Supervisor / Driver, you will:

• Supervise day-to-day transport operations and support the efficient running of the fleet.
• Lead, coach and motivate drivers and transport staff to achieve operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with all transport, safety, and company procedures.
• Monitor performance against KPIs and service level agreements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Respond professionally and promptly to customer requests and operational issues.
• Ensure all transport documentation, systems, and records are maintained accurately.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Undertake driving duties as required to support operational requirements.
• Assist with planning, allocation of resources, and delivery performance**.**

Our ideal candidate will bring:

• Previous experience in transport, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Demonstrated supervisory, team leadership, or coaching experience.
• A current New Zealand Class 4 licence (Class 5 advantageous).
• Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Sound administration and organisational skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and confidence using transport management systems.
• A proactive, positive, and solutions-focused attitude.
• The ability to lead by example and build a high-performing team.
• A strong commitment to health, safety, and compliance requirements
