Supervisor - Electrical Maintenance

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to join our Maintenance Department at Melaka. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising electrical maintenance activities, troubleshooting, equipment reliability and ensuring safe and compliant plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive, corrective and major overhaul electrical maintenance activities.
• Supervise electrical maintenance technicians and contractors.
• Lead troubleshooting, breakdown and electrical incident investigations.
• Perform electrical switching operations up to 6.6kV in accordance with approved procedures.
• Prepare maintenance schedules, work assignments and maintenance reports.
• Support electrical modification and improvement projects.
• Assist in audits, inspections and statutory compliance activities.
• Ensure electrical systems and equipment comply with applicable safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Support root cause analysis (RCA), post-mortem investigations and reliability improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in SAP (Computerized Maintenance System).

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Must possess Chargeman – High Voltage (B4) 33kV competency.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in High Voltage, Medium Voltage and Low Voltage operations and maintenance.
• Experience in Combined Cycle Power Plant maintenance is highly preferred.
• Experience in petrochemical, heavy industry, oil & gas or similar industries will also be considered.
• Experience using SAP for maintenance activities is an advantage.
• Good understanding of electrical preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Able to read and understand electrical schematic drawings.
• Good analytical, supervisory, communication and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
