About the role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Supervisor Export to join our Jakarta Selatan office on a full-time basis. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the smooth execution of export operations and lead a team of export coordinators and documentation specialists. As Supervisor Export, you will be responsible for ensuring all export shipments comply with international regulations, customs requirements, and company standards. This position is integral to our operations, directly impacting our clients' satisfaction and our reputation in the international trade market.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the daily export operations, including shipment preparation, documentation processing, and customs clearance procedures
• Monitor and ensure compliance with Indonesian customs regulations, export restrictions, and international trade requirements for all shipments
• Lead, train, and mentor a team of export coordinators, providing guidance on export procedures, documentation standards, and problem-solving techniques
• Prepare and review export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, and airway bills
• Liaise with customs authorities, shipping lines, and port operators to expedite clearance and resolve any export-related issues
• Quality assure all export shipments to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance before departure
• Communicate with clients regarding shipment status, documentation requirements, and any regulatory changes affecting their exports
• Maintain accurate records and databases of all export operations, shipments, and documentation
• Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend improvements to streamline export processes
• Handle escalated customer inquiries and resolve complex export compliance issues

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience in export operations (FMCG industry), with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership capacity
• Comprehensive knowledge of Indonesian customs regulations, export procedures, and international trade compliance requirements
• Strong understanding of export documentation standards, including commercial documents, certificates of origin, and shipping paperwork
• Proven supervisory experience with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members effectively
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple shipments and deadlines
• Strong communication skills in English and Indonesian, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in export management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle complex export scenarios and regulatory challenges
• Knowledge of Harmonized System (HS) classification and tariff regulations is advantageous
• Experience with port operations in Jakarta (Tanjung Priok) or major Indonesian ports is preferred
