SUPERVISOR EXTERNAL CLEANING

About the role

To supervise and coordinate all external cleaning operations, ensuring that outdoor areas, building surroundings, car parks, walkways, entrances, drains, and other designated areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and hygienic condition in accordance with company standards and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily external cleaning activities and ensure all assigned areas are cleaned according to the work schedule
• Monitor the cleanliness of car parks, walkways, entrances, landscaped surroundings, loading bays, and other outdoor areas
• Ensure proper collection and disposal of rubbish and waste
• Coordinate pressure washing, sweeping, litter picking, drain cleaning, and other external cleaning tasks
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure cleaning quality meets the required standards
• Assign daily duties and work schedules to external cleaning staff
• Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, discipline, and work performance
• Provide on-the-job training on cleaning procedures, equipment handling, and workplace safety
• Ensure all staff comply with occupational health and safety requirements and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Identify and report hazards such as slippery surfaces, blocked drains, broken pavement, and improper waste disposal

About you

• Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification
• At least 2 years of experience in cleaning operations or facilities management is preferred
• Previous supervisory experience is an advantage
• Good leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Knowledge of external cleaning methods, equipment, and workplace safety practices
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors when required
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, or public holidays when necessary
• Able to prepare basic reports and maintain cleaning records
