Supervisor / Fleet Controller

INYAMEKO, an employer of choice within the transport industry, is looking for Shift Managers to be based in Durban, KZN. The core function of this position is to ensure that INYAMEKO is sustainable in all areas of HSSE compliance, asset efficiencies. The Key Performance Areas KPI for the position are listed below:

FLEET MANAGEMENT:

· Perform daily visual inspection on fleet

· Review driver checklists daily and arrange for repairs on defective items

· Daily issue of keys and cards to drivers and ensure register is updated

· Daily capture of operations pack-record fueling and odometer readings

· Tracking of vehicles daily and ensuring all violations are escalated

· Ensure vehicles are serviced according to stipulated service intervals

· Ensure accidents/incidents are reported to management immediately

· Accident/Incident reports to be completed in full, including investigation with conclusion and costs

· Technical – Vehicle Service / COF / Breakdowns / SLP

OPERATIONS:

· Assist with the effective planning of all loads that needs to be executed

· Ensure all loads are executed as planned per customer requirement

· Plan/creating loads on the planning board

· Organizing all employees, equipment as well as resources to execute loads

· Ensure all resources are legitimate

· Ensure effective communication with the customer

· Ensure all changes in load planning and scheduling communicated to customer

· Manage working hours of drivers

· Ensure proper briefing and de-briefing is conducted

· Ensure BVO compliance to SWP

· Ensure that all group HSSE policies, standards, practices and procedures are strictly adhered

FUEL MANAGEMENT:

· Approved refueling of vehicles

· Consumption management

· Fraud investigation

· Fuel statement verification

· Refuelling vehicles

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Grade 12

· Tertiary qualification in Logistics – Transport management of studying towards one will be an advantage

· 3 years or more transport experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

· Management of staff

· Reliable and assertive

· Pro-active and ability to take initiative

· Must have own transport

· Strong admin skills

· Problem solving abilities

· Computer literate

Pay: R12 000,00 - R14 000,00 per month
