Schedule: Tuesday–Friday, 5:00 PM–3:30 AM, plus one Saturday every 12 weeks

Salary: $78,000–$107,600 per year

Annual Bonus: $5,000

About the Role

Edjobster is an HR consulting and talent acquisition company hiring for one of its client organizations in the United States. We are seeking a licensed laboratory supervisor to oversee core-laboratory chemistry functions, monitor workflow from specimen processing through results reporting, maintain quality and regulatory compliance, and guide laboratory teammates.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct laboratory workflow, assignments, staffing, and departmental responsibilities.
• Ensure adherence to established procedures, quality assurance requirements, safety policies, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor performance against targets, service requirements, turnaround times, and specimen-quality standards.
• Identify process improvements, resolve workflow and quality issues, and cover laboratory benches when needed.
• Lead, coach, train, and develop direct reports.
• Assist with hiring, promotions, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, timecards, and time-off approvals.
• Conduct competency evaluations and maintain teammate performance records.
• Develop and implement departmental policies, SOPs, and training programs.
• Support CAP surveys, state requirements, incident reporting, and the laboratory quality-improvement program.
• Ensure adequate staffing coverage and effective utilization of laboratory personnel.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, or a related field.
• Six to eight or more years of experience as a Medical Technologist and/or Laboratory Supervisor.
• Active Florida Supervisor License in Clinical Chemistry and Serology.
• Current certification from a recognized professional laboratory certifying agency such as ASCP, AAB, or AMT.
• Experience supervising laboratory operations and/or laboratory personnel.
• Clinical chemistry or core-laboratory experience.
