Supervisor - Light Electrical

PLP seeks the professional services of an Electrical Supervisor to lead our light electrical manufacturing team delivering high-quality hazardous area and industrial electrical solutions.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager - Manufacturing, you will be responsible for supervising workshop operations, coordinating production activities, maintaining high quality standards, and ensuring customer delivery commitments are achieved.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys balancing technical expertise, people leadership, continuous improvement, and customer focus.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Light Electrical Workshop team.

• Coordinate production schedules and workshop resources.

• Ensure products are manufactured to meet quality and compliance requirements.

• Support hazardous area (Ex) assembly activities and certification requirements.

• Drive a strong safety and quality culture.

• Work closely with Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse, Quality and Engineering teams.

• Manage workflow, inventory requirements and delivery performance.

• Coach and develop workshop personnel.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs.

About You

• Electrical, Industrial Electrical, Instrumentation or related trade qualification.

• Experience leading teams within a manufacturing, assembly or industrial environment.

• Strong understanding of electrical assembly and workshop operations.

• Experience interpreting technical documentation and drawings.

• Excellent planning, communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

·         Electrical or related trade qualification

·         5+ years electrical manufacturing experience

·         Supervisory experience

·         Knowledge of hazardous area equipment desirable
