SUPERVISOR MEKANIK PROPELLER

About the role

Supervise installation, dismantling, overhaul, maintenance, inspection and alignment of propeller systems. Lead and coordinate mechanical teams, manpower, tools, and materials on site in a shipyard environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise installation, dismantling, overhaul, maintenance, inspection and alignment of propeller systems
• Inspect propeller shaft, stern tube, bearing, seal, coupling, gearbox, and related components
• Ensure shaft alignment and propeller installation meet drawings, specifications, and required tolerances
• Lead and coordinate mechanical teams, manpower, tools, and materials on site
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine appropriate corrective actions
• Coordinate with Engineering, QC, Production, and other related departments
• Monitor work quality, progress, safety, and completion according to schedule and targets
• Prepare progress reports and ensure compliance with K3/HSE procedures

About you

• Minimum SMK/D3/S1 in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Ship Machinery, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience as Supervisor/Foreman Mekanik Propeller, preferably in a shipyard environment
• Strong knowledge of propeller, propeller shaft, stern tube, bearing, seal, coupling, and gearbox systems
• Experienced in overhaul, maintenance, installation, alignment, and troubleshooting
• Able to read technical drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications
• Understand shaft alignment procedures and propeller installation tolerances
• Strong leadership, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of K3/HSE and safe working practices
