Supervisor of Rail Terminal Operations

LOCATION: Kansas City, Missouri

The Role As a Rail Terminal Supervisor of Operations, you will oversee daily terminal activity, including the unloading of brand-new automobiles from railcars and the coordination of railcar maintenance activities. You will be a hands-on leader responsible for safety, efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction while guiding your team and keeping operations running smoothly.

What You Will Do

• Coordinate and schedule daily vehicle unloading from railcars.
• Oversee and manage railcar maintenance activities to ensure equipment is safe and operational.
• Lead, support, and motivate your team while monitoring productivity and performance.
• Ensure all safety standards and procedures are followed consistently.
• Communicate with customers and assist with equipment availability and planning.
• Maintain accurate inventory control and vehicle security.
• Assign daily duties and manage staffing levels.
• Work closely with terminal leadership to identify opportunities to improve operations and maintenance processes.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Supervisory experience is preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate.

Compensation & Schedule

• $24.00 per hour (Non-Union).
• Full-time position (approximately 40 hours per week with some overtime available).
• Various shift times available – all day shifts.

Important Information

• You will be employed by PRS Auto, not the railroad.
• Applicants must live within 45 minutes of the terminal.
• Relocation assistance is not available.
