Supervisor - Patient Care

Qualifications:

• Education

Required: Associates Degree or Diploma in Nursing.

Preferred: Bachelor of Nursing.

• Work Experience

Required: Five (5) years RN experience in acute care. One (1) year previous leadership experience.

Preferred: Previous Supervisor or Management experience.

• Licensure/Certifications/Registrations

Required: Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of New Hampshire. Current BLS certification (adult, child, and infant). ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and NRP are required within 1 year of hire.

Preferred: Certification in a field of Nursing. Prefer ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and NRP certifications at time of hire.

• Other Skills/Knowledge

Required: must have all skills outlined in the Staff RN job description. Also, have an ability to teach/demonstrate new skills and equipment; run mock codes; follow through on performance issues.

Preferred: experience with doing performance appraisals, interviewing, and performance management.
