SUPERVISOR PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT

JOB SUMMARY:

The Performance Improvement Supervisor is responsible and accountable for proactively ensuring the quality of abstraction. Ensures data submission deadlines are met for all departmental databases, registries, and other data submission requirements. Monitors and reports interrater reliability of abstraction and provides feedback and education to abstractors on their respective measures. Ensures productivity tracking of remote staff. Serves as a mentor for PI staff in carrying out functions of the PI model and various quality improvement and safety initiatives. Assists department leadership in trending and reporting of quality metrics and facilitates performance improvement plans. This is an in-person position with the possibility of intermittent remote work.

Associates degree in nursing required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. RN License to practice in Kentucky required.

The ideal candidate should possess knowledge in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Demonstrates knowledge of statistical evaluation methods and tools. Knowledge and application experience of PI tools and methods. Proficient knowledge and skills to support program specific data review, trend identification, and data interpretation. Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills are required. Must be assertive and customer service oriented,
