About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Supervisor Restaurant to join our team at Nasi Lemak Lobster JB. This is a full-time position based in Setia Tropika Johor. As Supervisor Restaurant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring excellent operational standards, maintaining outstanding customer service, and leading our front-of-house and back-of-house teams. Your leadership and dedication will be instrumental in delivering an exceptional dining experience that reflects our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service delivery and adherence to company standards
• Supervise, train and motivate restaurant staff, providing guidance and support to foster a positive work environment
• Monitor customer service quality and address any concerns promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction
• Manage table assignments, seating arrangements and ensure efficient service flow throughout service periods
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across all areas of the restaurant
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery to customers
• Handle customer complaints and disputes with professionalism, working towards amicable resolutions
• Assist in inventory management, stock control and ordering of supplies as required
• Support the implementation of promotional activities and special events
• Maintain accurate records of daily sales, cash handling and reconciliation

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Supervisor, Lead, or similar supervisory role in a restaurant or hospitality environment
• Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively
• Excellent customer service skills with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences
• Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, health and safety regulations, and restaurant best practices
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff and customers
• Proficiency in restaurant management systems and point-of-sale (POS) software
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Fluency in English and Malay; additional language skills are advantageous
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
