Department Overview

The Payroll Tax Representative serves as a critical liaison between payroll operations, tax authorities, employees, payroll vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and, where applicable, international payroll tax requirements

Duties

• Ensure that employment taxes are handled appropriately (including research, data entry, edit review and correction, etc.)
• Timely response to emails as appropriate (address any escalations)
• Provide support to call center and payroll teams for escalated payroll tax inquiries
• Assist and collaborate with other McD teams on payroll tax inquiries/issues
• Maintain a continuous improvement mindset
• Work with Payroll Tax Vendor whenever necessary.

Qualifications ·       Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or relevant field. ·       4 - 7 years relevant minimum experience required ·       US Payroll Tax, Accounting/Finance, experience with complex transactions ·       Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work both independently and within a team, aptitude towards technology and applications
