What they need

Ready for an autonomous role where you’re trusted to make decisions, take ownership, and deliver projects your way?

Platinum Insurance Build Pty Ltd is growing rapidly, and we’re looking for an experienced Estimator/Supervisor who wants more than simply moving jobs through a system.

This is an autonomous position for someone who can confidently manage their own workload and projects without being micromanaged. You’ll work closely with decision-makers, have the freedom to apply your experience, and play an important role in the continued growth of our business.

About Platinum Insurance Build Pty Ltd

We specialise in insurance repairs and large-scale building remediation projects across South East Queensland.

Our projects range from individual residential repairs to complex, multi-trade remediation works involving insurers, consultants, property owners, and other key stakeholders.

We are building a high-performing company with strong systems, clear expectations, and genuine opportunities for capable people to grow with us. We value people who take ownership, solve problems, communicate clearly, and take pride in delivering quality outcomes.

The Opportunity

This is a varied position combining estimating, tendering, project coordination, and site supervision.

You won’t be limited to producing estimates behind a desk or managing the same type of project repeatedly. You’ll be involved throughout the full project lifecycle—from the initial site inspection and preparation of the scope through to coordinating trades and delivering the completed works.

You will have the autonomy to plan your workload, manage your projects, make informed decisions, and resolve issues as they arise. While you’ll have the support of our office and management team, you will be trusted to take responsibility for your outcomes and won’t be micromanaged.

If you’re currently feeling restricted, overlooked, or ready for greater responsibility and freedom, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend tender inspections and assess proposed insurance repair and remediation works
  • Prepare accurate, fully costed scopes of work using Prime Ecosystem
  • Prepare and submit professional tenders for projects of varying size and complexity
  • Complete desktop estimates and prepare project variations
  • Take ownership of approved projects from commencement through to completion
  • Independently plan and manage your workload, priorities, and project schedules
  • Plan and coordinate large-scale, multi-trade remediation projects
  • Allocate work orders and coordinate trades, suppliers, materials, and site activities
  • Monitor project costs, milestones, timelines, workmanship, and overall performance
  • Ensure works comply with approved scopes, contractual requirements, relevant standards, and client expectations
  • Maintain WHS compliance and high site-safety standards
  • Identify potential risks, delays, and issues before they affect project delivery
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, insurers, consultants, trades, suppliers, and the internal team

About You

You are a self-motivated construction professional who enjoys being given responsibility and trusted to get the job done.

You can confidently move between estimating, client communication, project planning, and site supervision. You use sound judgement, remain composed under pressure, and don’t need constant direction to keep projects moving.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Proven experience in construction estimating and site supervision
  • The ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of your projects
  • Strong knowledge of insurance repairs, remediation works, and associated project-delivery processes
  • Experience managing complex or multi-trade construction projects
  • Sound knowledge of building practices, construction codes, and relevant Australian Standards
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to prepare accurate scopes and variations
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • A practical, proactive, and solutions-focused approach
  • Experience using Prime Ecosystem, or the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • A Certificate IV in Building and Construction, or a willingness to undertake it
  • A current driver’s licence
  • Residence in either Brisbane or the Gold Coast

Why Join Platinum Insurance Build Pty Ltd?

  • Enjoy genuine autonomy: Manage your own workload and projects without unnecessary micromanagement.
  • Make a real impact: Your experience and ideas will help shape how projects and systems are delivered.
  • Take ownership: You’ll be trusted to make decisions, solve problems, and deliver results.
  • Work on diverse projects: Gain exposure to insurance repairs and substantial remediation projects rather than repetitive construction work.
  • Grow with the business: Join us during an exciting period of expansion, with opportunities to develop as the company grows.
  • Work directly with decision-makers: Be part of an agile business where good ideas can be acted on quickly.
  • Build long-term stability: Secure a permanent role with a growing company operating in a specialised and established industry.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary package
  • Company vehicle and phone
  • Long-term, stable employment
  • Genuine autonomy and responsibility
  • Support from an experienced office and management team
  • Diverse and challenging projects
  • Professional development and career-progression opportunities
  • A supportive, energetic, and solutions-focused team

If you’re ready to leave micromanagement behind and step into a role offering genuine trust, autonomy, and opportunity, we’d like to hear from you.
