Supplier Engineer (Plating)

About the role

This role involves developing, qualifying and managing suppliers for anodization, electropolishing, plating, cleaning, and coating processes. You will lead quality problem resolutions, troubleshooting and incident management, driving root cause and correction actions to prevent recurrence. You will lead the supplier technical audit process, evaluate supplier performance and capability, and drive continuous improvement opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, qualify and manage suppliers for anodization, electropolishing, plating, cleaning, coating processes
• Lead quality problem resolutions, troubleshooting and incident management, drive root cause, correction actions and prevent recurrence
• Lead supplier technical audit process, evaluate supplier performance and capability, drive continuous improvement opportunities at supplier
• Communicate technical requirement and expectation effectively to suppliers
• Collaborate closely with supplier to design and perform DOEs to define process windows, characterize new requirements, and evaluate chemistries, technologies
• Compile, analyze, and interpret test data to establish process specifications
• Generate comprehensive technical reports for both internal and external teams
• Lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity

About you

• 3-5 years experience in semiconductor industry
• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science
• Strong conceptual and practical expertise in plating/anodizing/electropolishing/cleaning/coating
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and supplier management skills
• Ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic setting
