Supplier Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Support quality-related projects and ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
• Perform product inspections, measurements, and data analysis to verify compliance with quality requirements and specifications.
• Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints, and quality issues, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 and other applicable standards.
• Conduct internal quality audits, supplier audits, and supplier qualification assessments.
• Review PPAP submissions, quality records, process control plans, and related documentation to ensure compliance.
• Work closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams to resolve quality concerns and drive process improvements.
• Prepare and present quality performance reports, KPIs, and metrics for management and customer reviews.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Support supplier development activities to improve supplier performance, capability, and quality standards.
• Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the reporting manager.

Requirements:

• ITE, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality Management, Supplier Development, or Supplier Qualification.
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing, precision engineering, and quality assurance environments, preferably within a high-mix, low-volume production setting.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, GD&T, machining processes, and plating processes.
• Knowledge of quality improvement and problem-solving methodologies such as CAPA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, SPC, PPAP, and Error Proofing.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements and process capability studies.
• Proficient in using OGP Smart Scope measurement systems independently.
• Skilled in the use of inspection and measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, and profile projectors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
